I think Hattiesburg with a strong ACC team (Georgia Tech?) seems like a reasonable possibility.
They could send Georgia Tech to Auburn, but I think they were probably 1st or 2nd out from hosting and will get sent to one of the weakest hosts. Alternatively, they could send Alabama to USM, which would send us elsewhere. Or I could see Alabama to Florida State.

My guess is West Coast. Most projections that gave us going out there have us going to UCLA but if they aren't going to send us to FSU or USM at least send us to Oregon so we can easily interview Waz.
I would say USM is highly unlikely. Their AD doesn't want MSU there and he is on the committee.
If I had to guess I'm guessing UCLA.

Honestly if we get this hire right it's going to be highlight of the MSU season for me. I'm cautiously optimistic at this point.
But looking back on it when you run through our close losses or games that we have blown it's insane how many were because we simply left a pitcher in too long. 100% on coaching.
We did need another pitcher in the portal as well- starting especially but I would have taken an Aaron Nixon type closer as well. That would have made a huge difference. Even then we had enough to have a great season.
