Looks like Highfill will not be worst defender on the field today. Mizzou had a two run error already

I said it before the Kentucky series and I'll say it again. This team has the talent to win out the regular season and potentially the SECT if we really tried. We lost one to OM because of a Pico dud. But .500 in sec play is still in front of us. A strong 2 seed is in front of us.

Hell if we win the next 8 games in a row... I'm gonna beat the drum that we should host. Unlikely, but possible. Baseball is about getting hot at the right time and we are hot.

    7-0 MSU

Reid Stallman 2 HR day, coming on for Frei.

Frei injured on a slide that was very poorly done. Head first that was landed on bent knee.

But he ran home nicely on a wild pitch to score. So he did not exit the game immediately after the slide.

Classic good MSU game thread. We have more runs than posts.

Anyone that hears anything on Frei, keep us posted. That?s the biggest story of the game.

At 50 pitches, Pico is not sharp anymore. It's not been a super crisp start. But just 1 hit against.

My guess on frei is knee bruise. He was not 100% running home. That’s one of those things that may hurt worse tomorrow than today. I hope he is back soon, he is my favorite batter.

Yup. As much as some tried to put their hand in the sand and defend Lemon, it is really clear we always had the talent to compete this year. This team should be hosting with a competent coach and offseason

When the two of us are aligned on a controversial take (Lemon is a great recruiter) - usually it's right.

2022 was derailed by injuries - namely losing Sims guaranteed W
2023 had the talent to be a regional team but dogwater coaching tanked the pitching staff and Lemon enabled it.
2024 should have been a national seed and playing in Omaha.
This year we're a fringe national seed talent and Omaha is a coin flip

    If we had quality coaching.

What's crazy is, I really think had we not won in 2021 we would have had insane success these past 4 years. Not a natty in any of them, but 2 Omaha trips with Lemonis still coaching. He literally suffered from success.

Not that any pitcher has been that good for Mizzou, but it feels like the smart play for them was to rest pitchers this weekend and make a push for winning 5 in hoover. So we might just get 3 BP nights with get right pitching games from us. Or we could get ****ed by a RAT

He's not coming back. Already has a deal with another team
