Lemon may not be the only SEC coach fired this Spring

A&M has to be getting a lot of pressure after this flop of a season with a sweep at home by previously winless Mizzou

This will be the first time the preseason #1 didn?t even make a Regional

That job opening up may change our equation. Although, they crazy.

It's also a cautionary tale about not promoting an in house assistant. Which might help us some.

Not sure how O'Connor feels about being sloppy seconds but we might find out.

Yes, last year Texas A&M did what the pro-Parker crowd wants us to do this year.

I mean, it's not the same situation exactly, but I'd say it was more justified for them that it would be for us.

Respectfully, we don't really have a "pro Parker" crowd cause we don't know any options. Talking just members of the fan base without inside scoop. But I'm certainly thankful the team is winning.

Just a question. In 2002. Did MSU go straight to Polk? Were Brian O'Conner or Tim Corbin (assistants) even variables? Paul Manieri? Or was it Default back to Polk? I was hanging at Poker tournaments in 2002, I was not paying attention to MSU baseball back then.

We're the better job, but I still prefer being the only big job open in the market.

Hopefully, us making the move when we did means our ducks are in a row and A&M also hiring doesn't matter.

Sadly yes, we did go straight to him. Mac made a couple of bad decisions and hurt himself with some boosters. Not that he was on the outs, but Fla came calling and he took the opportunity.

Historically yes- but most coaches would take the A&M job over ours. They have more money, they are adding on to their stadium, and are in a very talent rich state. Easier to recruit there.

They've got problems in College Station. One of the players dads, Gavin Grahovac's, is on X saying all the players are gone if Ealey is fired. Number 1, I'd say who cares? They are a team of underachievers that most likely aren't even going to make a regional after being pretty much everyone's preseason number 1. Number 2, players and especially parents don't make decisions on who is hired and fired. If I were Trev Alberts I'd tell them all to kick rocks and pound sand and do what needs to be done.

Maybe we can get some of their players to transfer in if they all quit.

I can say Steve Smith really wanted the job at one point.

Smith wanted this job like oxygen. We went straight to Polk and never considered anybody else for Polk 2

Larry Templeton's failures as AD are legendary- how the **** you turn down Steve Spurrier?

Steve and Mitch would have had a great staff and built on what Mac left. It would have been very good.

It's really bizarre to me. You can't let the inmates run the asylum.

If our players demanded Parker I'd tell them to leave. The rebuilding year or two would suck but it would be worth it in the long run.

Steves Brother told me he was really disappointed that he wasn't considered. Anyone who knew Steve knew what a good all around guy he was. Baylor was a good fit for him/

I was friends with a Baylor assistant coach, back in the 2000's and he said Smith would talk about MSU often, how great the fan base and facilities were. He said one time they had either meetings or a game somewhere in the southeast and Smith took the coaches to Starkville to see the facilities.

But yeah.....Polk II and all that ***

Trev Albert's had a sense of Humor, beaten out of him by the Job, most likely

I would say all players that would leave for Early are cut TODAY.

TAM is a football school, this is a made-to-order opportunity to destroy these punks and look like Godzilla. Cut them all. TAM can field a high quality team with Houston, Baylor, Oklahoma, Ok State, DBU, and TCU transfers almost overnight.

Paul Manieri wanted our job at that time as well and we didn't even give him the time of day. I would venture that he would have taken it.
