RPI now at 47 as I type this. One more loss this series and it's really hard to see there being any hope of getting into a regional as an at large.

Completely agree. Both games should have been fairly comfortable wins. It's asking too much of a pitcher who had Tommy John a couple of years ago to throw 115+ pitches and then trot him out there again in a hitter's ballpark. Especially with a fresh bullpen. Even down Hungate.

But I can even get on board with sending him back out with the 2 lefties coming up. He got them out. But then when the righty came up and he was past 110 pitches- bring on Davis. That’s an easy call. Easyyyyyyy. But no. We try to steal an out. It’s ridiculous

Exactly. We played with fire and actually came out OK- and then we KEPT playing with it. Doesn't make sense. You can't save bullpen when you have no margin for error.

That gets us to 14. I'm more and more confident that 13 won't get us in. Mizzou's RPI is awful and Kentucky's isn't high enough to really help.
