At this point what is firing him going to do? Cheese and Jake/Parker will quit as well because they have no chance at the head job and you are left with GAs because Rodeheaver with Baseball Ops is a Lemonis guy too. This is not a Cann situation where he stepped into a job with Cohen assts.
And please to god no one suggest some stupid shit like Polk coming out of retirement to coach. He can barely 17 walk, much less coach.

The ball girl?

There is not an ideal scenario to accomplish this. As close to ideal as possible was at the end of last season. Just get it done knowing there will be scorched earth now or later. Do it now and progress to hope for the future sooner rather than later.

This is a bad take. Our assistants are bound by contract and need a chance to bolster their resume as they will be moving along most likely. Lame ducks are dangerous. Anyone that manages people and HR know this. Plus, this is going to get ugly. The boos started tonight and they will worsen until he is gone. Needs to be quick and clean. This ain't rocket science.

Does anyone know how many years are left on his contract? Surely we have not been rolling him over back to 4 years during this 3.5 season fiasco.

This is where I?m at now. No chance any one staff leads this team to a regional at this point. The hole is too big to climb out of.

Getting swept at home by OM might just be the medicine....

Our assts will be offered the option to leave as well when Lemonis is fired. Just as assts are always given that opportunity. Maybe Jake decides that he will steer this thing home since he has been here longest but I can promise you Parker is on the first plane out of here though. If he is not getting the full time job.

Do you know if there Is a monetary difference if we pay the staff to finish out the vs paying the buyout?

We have given Lemonis ample opportunity. After two years in 2022 amd 2023 of nine conferences wins each year, we gave him a natty pass to come back and show us something. He made a regional and got bounced. So we kindly gave him another pass because MAYBE he's turned it back around. Bad move. 1-9 now and there are no more gratuities. Time to go. Not another pass to lame duck skate the rest of this year.

Steve, do you know if Parker wants to be a head coach and is he capable and/or ready?

Wants to be and capable of doing it are two completely different questions. Does he want to? Absolutely. Could he lead a program like ours? Big question mark. HUGE QUESTION MARK.

Not a huge one but we would have to negotiate buyouts for all of them. Parker is going to be a stiff buyout to eat.

No problem, nearly everyone of us either played little league or had kids play little league, so we are woefully over-qualified to evaluate Croomonis and Staff ineptitude!

No he can’t, the gig is too big for Lemon and anyone on this current staff.

I am an old guard guy. I'll live with Lemonass the rest of the year if we can win that series.
