Maybe it works out but I don't understand pinch hitting Stevens for Downs here. Wouldn't you want the right handed hitter to face the southpaw?

Thanks for explaining it to me, guess my small IQ brain is still trying to adjust to the new standards of only making the tournament once every 3 years. I better get with the times and give the coaches more slack

I'm sure it has to do with splits. But Lemonis makes those calls without enough sample size in a lot of cases. Very strange.

I mean you can't really send Chance against a lefty with a decent move. I mean maybe hit and run but we don't even try that. Seems the play was a pinch who can bunt. But hey I'm just a fan.

Simply "making the Tournament" has never been good enough at Mississippi State and never will be.
The only question is whether Lemonis is giving us a top 10 performance to match his top 10 salary, and we'll have to evaluate that in May.

You're not wrong. It's extremely unusual to pinch hit a lefty for righty against a LH pitcher. Unusual is a nice way of saying dumb as sh!t.
