Fundamentals. How many times do we talk about that during the season on these threads? Seems it's a recurring theme and yet we struggle with any part of fundamentals whether it's defense, baserunning, or situational awareness at the plate

Just a reminder that this was davis' line last week vs Texas...
2.2 ip 3 h 3 er 4 bb 2 k
So, so far, he's...

Coach Wes Johnson would fix this over a Fall. MSU would be hosting next Spring.

4 Jay Johnson LSU $1.79 million
5 Tim Tadlock Texas Tech $1.78 million
6 Scott Forbes North Carolina $1.7 million
7 Mike Bianco Ole Miss $1.63 million
8 Brian O’Connor Virginia $1.4 million
9 Paul Mainieri South Carolina $1.3 million
T-10 Chris Lemonis Mississippi State $1.28 million
T-10 Erik Bakich Clemson $1.28 million
Wow I know baseball isn?t a money sport but these are way lower than I thought. I would have assumed lemon makes at least $3M. I find it hard to believe we can?t pay a HC $2M to go poach someone

Like I said, nothing more than a mid-week guy.

Hines misses 3 straight fastballs in the zone. Any SEC hitter should have hit all of them.

We need to boost him to $2 mil so we can claim top three in something.

We can absolutely poach a good coach if we're willing to pay the same salary as we're currently giving Lemonis. I get that some of them won't want to live in Mississippi, but with a high salary and great fan support, we'll find someone good.

This looks like a good game to give some pay back for highfill

lol
Our next coach will be just like the previous ones. An Asst or lower grade school HC.

I don't doubt there are different ways to look at salary that make slightly different lists, but the most important point is that we could give a lot of great coaches a big raise to come here, and one of them would bite.

Big ballpark. 335 down the lines and 411 straight away. Need to get the ball down and stop hitting warning track fly balls.
-
If we don't go pull Hines right now, fire lemonis postgame

Georgia is a lower grade school in baseball, and probably the 2nd weakest program in the SEC over the last 10-15 years (ahead of Missouri, and you could argue for Kentucky or Alabama but I wouldn't).
I'm not going to say we can definitely get Johnson because who knows what's important to any specific coach, but we are clearly a stronger program with better fan support, would be willing to give him a raise, and he has coached here before. It takes a huge inferiority complex to say we can't get him or someone like him.
