Their first 5 batters are big boys! We should sit fastball on their starter. Keeps it around the plate, but not throwing it past you. His offspeed is not bad right now bc he?s hitting his spots. Error by Buckner?..what?s up with second base and the errors?that?s 3 in 10 innings!

Well Chance had a hard hit but still an out. Not thrilled with how our first 4 batters struck out on this nobody. Of course, it would be a very State thing to do is make him look like Nolan Ryan

Finally a mistake by their all star pitcher with a HBP on Downs. First baserunner for state in the game

Their pitcher is already at 44 pitches. I imagine he's on a 75-80 pitch count this early in the year. So even if he continues to have success, he will be out by the 6th.
We are being a lot more patient at the plate this year, almost patient to a fault.

Through 9 batters he has 6ks. I highly doubt they pull him if he's mowing us down. They'll continue to ride him as long as possible
