yes, the people spoke and so did basically all the local sponsors for the station. the weather is the only reason to watch the news anyway. the rest was regurgitated cnn or AP political info.

if one considers cutting advertising on that channel a stink, then yes. Mr Allen learned a few things in the wtva case but I have no idea if these plans are still a go for the other twenty something stations he owns.

Good news in the interim. If I were Matt though, I'd still be looking elsewhere for a job or considering how I could start providing the weather independently.
