We had some really bonehead plays in that game. The attempted touchdown pass up 4 in regulation with just over a minute to go was terrible, the pass behind Melendez after the overturned review was bad and then the intentional foul on Jones was the worst of all. That is about the only thing that could have given OM a chance. Between those things and the screw job by the SEC refs that we got today its a miracle we won. I still can't believe they came back 10 mins later and took 2 points away from us when it was very questionable saying the ball was in the cylinder when Murphy touched it yet there was no question it was in the cylinder when the Rebs touched it.

Good lord I had to watch it on mute but that game was stressful. A win is a win but jesus ****.
We've got to figure out how to run plays on offense. Stupid turnovers turned a 20+ blowout into an OT sweat fest.

Hopefully Hubb gets his mojo back. We REALLY need his offense. And its definitely become a mental thing now. When he is starting to struggle even making his free throws then you know he is losing his confidence.

Hubbard is constantly trying to get fouled or trying to act like he was fouled. He's thinking too much about that instead of playing basketball

Opponents have Hubbard figured out. Put a 6'3-6'4 guard on him and don't let him shoot. But he IS a shooter, not a true dribble driver who can create a shot in the lane. Jans needs to watch film from how Williams used Darryl Wilson. He ran him around and along the baseline and back to a wing behind a 6'7" screener where he had wide open 3. So it has to be set plays. Jones, Melendez, Harris, and Kugel can create their own 3 point space. Stan's did the same thing for Frazier, but Frazier could also get his own space. Zimmerman and Bowers could jump out of the gym so they could create space even when closely guarded.

We run that look a ton, sometimes for Hubbard. Just don't hit the open 3 well enough. We're so close to being an unstoppable team if we could hit the 3 at a 5 to 10% higher clip.

That's the good news is a way because you know it's a matter of time before he breaks out of his slump.
I think a lot of the stupid things we did was MSU just trying to do too much. Ole Miss was hot and we were coming in on a two game losing streak and I think it just made everything bigger for our guys and it was really a recipe for pressing too much.

I'm more focused on us giving up 40% from behind the arch

Z and Bowers were like 5" taller than Hub too. Early in year Hub was driving and shooting adn dishing now he isn't.

Hubbard was hurt in the UNLV game and hasn't been right since even though he didn't take a game off. I think that's still partly to do with it.

Jans can't let teams get a 3 off like the one that tied the game in regulation. Just foul.

At least we had a defender in his face on that one. It's all the totally uncontested 3s we give up that is the big problem. We have a really solid team, but the two real liabilities with this team are perimeter defense and free throw shooting. When Matthews or Murray go to the free throw line, it's not much better than a turnover.

One thing is for sure. The Hump needs to continue the energy it had last night. Talking to people who went - it was as bumpin and jumpin since 2004. It looked and felt that way on TV and I hate I couldn't be there.

And none of them are complaining on Twitter today.
