That is the plan but it has not been confirmed other than a Twitter post or two. We will have to wait to the spring to see if it is official

I've heard rumors he may play both sides of the ball. We'll see what happens in the spring.

Boy he didn't even play 1 side of the ball well last year. No way does he need to be playing two.
"We will have no problem in handling Kentucky."-Turfdawg67. MSU suffered a 27-17 defeat in 2022 with 225 yards in total offense.

If he can learn to catch the ball somewhat adequately and make some plays in space and also line up at RB at times and get some carries along with playing safety it would be the best case scenario.
He'll likely gravitate to safety but I have seen some recent video of him where he was clearly running routes and working on WR drills.

I'm not seeing any near misses that I can say for sure would have been stars. I would have liked Satenga, Law, Vaughn or Dwyer but I'm not sure any were worthy of a Godfather offer.
Losing Coleman hurt worse than any of our portal misses.

Haha just being honest. Anytime he was out there at receiver it was comedy of errors when he was involved.

Alligator arms on that one drive where MVB hit him 3 times and he couldn’t even come close to it. Right on the goal line too.

Which was impressive because Van Buren did not hit most people in the hands one time on short routes, much less 3.

You may or may not be right but full time safety and part time WR makes sense even if he was never going to be a major contributor as WR if he is that good of an athlete. He can go all in learning the defense and have a few plays installed on offense.
Personally, I would prefer him to pick a side of the ball and focus on that but it's not big of a stretch to have a few plays he learns as a WR but I can't see someone doing that as a safety. You would get exposed quickly at the safety position trying to part time it but as a WR? They could design some reverses, bubble screens, even a few routes or as a decoy in limited action as a WR and it be effective. You do that if he is that guy when it comes to abilities. I have no idea if that is the case but what little I saw of him, I was impressed.

He is not here anymore. He can catch all the strays we want him to catch. Kid has a ton of physical traits (strong arm, speed, quick release) but he thinks he is a lot better than he is. I feel like he will be at Maryland August of 26.

Dude was an All American MVP of the all star game He was thrust into playing against the toughest schedule in MSU history. Despite all the circumstances he led all SEC Qbs in the month of October. We haven't had a true freshman produce like him ever against that level of competition.

That is a fair point. The mental gymnastics some of our fans have to use, to justify the praise of LK and yet bash MVB is Olympic level.
I think MVB has a bunch of potential, and I think he played well despite our team's overall limitations.

Has there been a bunch of praise for the Kromen kid? Nobody knows anything about him and most assume that Shapen gets the first snaps. MSU fans didn't do anything to Van Buren. He was the one that chose to remove himself from the program. For that, good riddance.

I literally said the kid has physical traits off the charts. However our teams overall limitations had nothing to do with his pocket presence issues, inaccuracies on short to medium routes, and overall decision making. He could be good in the future. He was not ready this year and it showed. Yet somehow the kid thought he had done enough to demand 1.5 mil and a GUARANTEE to be the starter for two years.

With the way the market is going, his price wasn't crazy. Demanding to be the starter, now that was crazy.

And as I have stated probably close to 10 times, the price was never the issue. We could have come to a compromise somewhere on the price. It was the 2 year guarantee of being the starter.
