UGA, OM and Arky Losses. Have you been watching MSU BB this year?
-
That is probably pretty close. It is just going to be damn near impossible to win on the road in this league. I do think we could win at UGA and OM but I do not think we can beat Bama and I do not think we go 2-0 between Florida/UK.

Road games are tough. We will drop at least one we shouldn?t (UGA)

I put Ws next to both because we seem to get up for good teams and will be at home. I think we can split with Bama this year because our guard play and play style has improved so much. Last year we matched up horrible against them.
With Ole Miss it is hard to beat your in state rival on road, especially if it is a revenge game. I figure we drop at least one to someone we should not in Georgia (or Vanderbilt). And could see Arkansas beating us at their place on senior night.
That was my reasoning behind those predictions

Well we beat Memphis away, SMU away. So we are used to playing away for some big games. The SEC is tough this year but the top 4 will be heads and shoulders above the rest and I think we can be the 4th.

Your finish predictions have it at 147-141. The results would have to be 144-144. There are 288 games played with a winner and loser in each game. So you’ve got 3 games where both teams won.
-
11-7/10-8 seems to be about right and that likely locks up around a 4-6 seed with as stacked as the SEC is this year.
12-6, and we're looking at pushing for a top 3 seed.

Threw my gambling thoughts on it. Rather be wrong about being optimistic than be right about being pessimistic.

The version of our team that played Saturday easily clears 15 wins and pushes for 16-17. @Aub / @Bama are the two that I just can't see us winning any way shape or form. But we can matchup and punk anyone else in the league on our best day, anywhere, anytime.

I agree, Memphis and SCar bull dawgs win 15 games. But the Bethune Cookman - Butler performances tells me we will have a stinker a couple times. Just need to be clicking in February and March

I'm enjoying the ride, BUT I'm also tempering my expectations b/c while the Memphis win was nice, I fully expect our team to go to Vandy tomorrow night and have us scratching our heads as we play to our level of competition. Handle Vandy on the road since we are #13 in Coaches Poll (ie, win the games we are supposed to win) and keep stacking wins and I'll start getting a little more excited.

I think after tomorrow night, we will have a more accurate idea of what this team is capable of.

Vandy is 31 in the NET. Their only loss is to Drake on a neutral floor. We're better than them but this isn't like going to Ga Tech last year. This will be a legit challenge. Heck they just scored a rare road win in this conference on Saturday. The average margin of victory by home teams on Saturday was 20 points and the road teams were 1-7. Winning on the road this year is going to be like winning two games.
-
We are currently #14 in the AP and there are 6 SEC schools ahead of us. That's insane.
If we go 4-4 in January we should still be ranked around 14 and we really shouldn't be upset if that happens. February eases up on us a little.
This week is huge in that we can prove we can win on the road in the SEC and we can prove that we can beat a top 10 SEC team. If we go 2-0 this week we could be on the verge of a very special season.
-
This is what you play for. enjoy it
-
I can see 10 SEC wins, for a positive prediction
Don't see MSU sweeping bama though.
Tomorrow night will help with some clarity.
