Yeah. We didn't have an internal NIL infrastructure until July of this year when Terry Prentice was able to bring in his own NIL staff, and damn he hired some good ones. That guy is going to be an AD down the road.

And what did Odom do when he was at Missouri? Sumrall and Silverfield are not what I consider ceiling raisers. I feel like they would be more like Billy Napier at Florida.

And even that was poorly run. They were charging double for baseballs signed by a college baseball than you could get for many World Series team signed baseballs. And I'm talking about the MLB World Series- not Omaha.
It was way over market.

Well man . That's like .....your opinion, man. 😂😂
Anyway. Hopefully, we get some good portal news today and tomorrow and things work out for Selmon and Lebby.

I think we hear something on Kromenhoek today or tomorrow. I think we hear something on Delano Townsend in the next 48 hours as well. I really like Jesse Ramil from JMU. I think he and Townsend would be two really good OL pickups.
We really need to get going on the DL side. I continue to hear that Turner will not be back next year. Multiple people from a lot of different areas continue to say that. Him leaving would open up doors for us to shift some stuff around. I mean if it was me, I would offer the world to Orgeron. Let him coach DL and run recruiting. Hell pay him 2 mil. It also helps he hates Ole Miss.

I was optimistic until I saw Lebby had no plan and kept this terrible staff. The man isn't a HC and has no vision/plan. He knows he's getting 3 years though and that's fine, I'm just not expecting success now. You'd think working for people he's worked with, he'd be better. Can anyone look at our recruiting and see a plan? Defense isn't improving except at LB and maybe S so far. What we doing with Turner? He's toast next month but we're going to let him just cruise past recruiting to retirement? Makes no sense at all.
It's like I said before, top guys aren't coming to play in this. You've got to show progress and a plan and we have done neither. Lebby is a really good OC that's lost as a HC so far. If we don't win 5/6 games, nobody is playing here next time either.

I don't get the Ramil offer. He has played one year of D-1 ball. He transferred to James Madison from St. Francis. I mean maybe he was a late bloomer, but I guess I just wanted to see him perform more against P4 competition.
I guess at a minimum he would be solid depth.
I'll never understand why DT has been kept on. If you don't want to fire him, move him off the field and bring in his replacement to recruit. I mean, are we really going to hire his replacement in February once the portal is closed? That makes zero sense.

1. He has a plan that is apparent to anyone willing to see it.
2. His staff is not terrible. The situation they came into was terrible.
3. If he was lost as a head coach, the team would have quit on him this season. They didn't. They quit on Zach Arnett last season because he was absolutely lost as a head coach and had no plan.
Too many of you are not willing to let the process play out. This was never going to be an immediate turnaround. It was always going to take time due to the destruction Arnett caused to the program.

That's what I don't understand. Because everyone and their brother with a source is in agreement that Turner is gone. Sources disagree all the time, but everyone has been constant that Turner is leaving so I don't know why he is still in the building. That's the one puzzling decision. Unless we're pulling a DL coach from a team in the playoffs. That would be the only way I see Turner still being there.

If we are moving on from DT, it is insane not to do it now. He can technically remain employed until January 31 if that is what needs to happen, but you can go ahead and announce a new DL coach for recruiting purposes.

Ramil is a late bloomer with a good pedigree. Dad played at Bama and brother is at MI State. At worse he will be a good depth piece but I wouldn't be shocked if he doesn't end up a starter.

Looking at Lebby's history, if he were to be hiring a DL coach, what names make sense?

I'm in no way pushing for this guy, but Deke Adams's contract is up in January at Arkansas much like David Turner's is up in January. Lebby coached with Adams at Ole Miss in 2020.

Miguel Chavis would definitely be a name. Todd Bates would be a grand slam hire. He's been with Venables for too long though. Rodney Garner on Heupel's staff would be a hell of a hire. Kevin Patrick at USF could be a really good hire as well.

Well Deke coached here for a year under Moorhead. And was kind of toxic after he left.

Justus Boone, Florida EDGE, tentatively scheduled to visit on the 20th. I say tentatively because he has 6 visits in 6 days. Houston, Ga Tech, Oklahoma St, and Pitt all before us. Then our old pal Dan the day after us.

Lay the plan out for us since you apparently know it. Or is this more piss on our heads and calling it rain? I see we’ve slipped down to #8 in the transfer portal. Also part of the plan?
