That's my hunch at this point. Lot of posturing.
That's the vibe I've gotten from Auburn. Also the fact that Murphy has not set up another visit. You can kind of read between the lines, his reps and Auburn are negotiating the deal now.

Can confirm this is true. There was an entire reddit thread where basically anyone not from the south is like “We’re not sure they’re for the recruits.” Couldn’t believe that was even an opinion.

Just saw we offered Deshawn Purdie qb from Charlotte. Stats don?t look great but he is young also has an offer from Georgia and Florida.

I doubt those guys would even be announced as visitors. It'd be silent visits and then their reps would leak it to Nakos. Rosebowl is trying to act like he knew about Thompson but he didn't. He had no clue. He found out when everyone else did from Nakos.

Throwing money at QBs like he did for hookers!

There have been posts here with the hypothesis that we could sign JA with a 2 year agreement/contract at 1 million dollars per year. How can you even enforce a 2 year deal in this world gone crazy NIL/Portal system? I have read and been told that players, some no longer with us and others have demanded a renegotiation during the season. Can you make a 2 year deal stand legally? Thanks.

No you cannot. But that's why we also don't frontload a lot of these payments. They're monthly payments.

A contract that is agreed to by both parties is still a contract. It's enforceable by law in our court system.

A contract between two parties is binding no matter if it's about football or not.

There is language that allows both parties to terminate the NIL contract. Fairly easily in most of the agreements

Fitting. Then Arnold goes on to win the Heisman and Auburn wins a Natty.

Agreed the language is key but a contract is binding by law, not by the NCAA.
Are we suing players to enforce it? I doubt it but a signed contract is binding and legally could be enforced if both parties signed it and agreed to it.

Here's the other thing though. This kid is 20 years old. I mean it would hard to not get caught up in the recruiting at that age. I mean this is a kid that was told by one fanbase that he sucked for a majority of the year and now he has multiple SEC programs, one of which HIS BACKUP beat, telling him he's the answer to their prayers.
A 20 year old that?s paid to play football is not a kid. Not disagreeing with anything else. Just that point

You and I don't agree on a whole lot Preacher....but we are lock step on this one. I couldn't agree more. They're not kids because they're paid but I mean we're talking about people with not fully developed frontal cortexes. I look at some of the stuff I did when I was 20 in Starkville. I mean dumb doesn't begin to describe it. Now, give me 1.5 million dollars.......it would end badly.

Optics are pretty rough on this one, but big win if Lebby brings it home
