Agree. He?s better than Bama DC. We tackle better and have gotten better over time and we have nothing above 3 star talent on D. I couldn?t stand him at first, but his improvement has been substantial. We tackled well today but our talent is absolutely not up to par, in fact our defensive is the worst we?ve had in 20 years at least. Jackie, Croom, and Mullen all hard more D talent.

I'm at the same spot. But since we're so devoid of talent I bet Lebby brings him back next year. I'm not saying he should or that's the right thing to do. But if we improve these last six games I don't see why he would let Hutzler go. That said if it goes the other way and we're on Twitter every week getting clowned because of our defense being way out of position these last six games then yeah- I could see him getting let go. Hence the let's let the season play out agreement.
The thing is what is happening now is the same blueprint that happened when Lebby was at Ole Miss and Oklahoma. You could see glimpses with the offense but the defense was putrid.
Today totally reminded me of a 2020-2021 Ole Miss football game.
If we can add enough talent to just get decent on defense we could make a lot of improvements in one offseason.

I watched a video highlight on Youtube this morning. That Bama D is soft. That's not the kind of defense Bama fans are accustom too. That's a PAC 12 defense. DeBoer has to adjust to the SEC or he's going to be Harsined soon.

For what it's worth, the DC at Bama was previously the HC at South Alabama.

Dave Wommack's son. He was DC at Indiana under HC Tom Allen. Tom Allen ran that defense not him. His HC resume is a little lackluster although he made it to a couple bowls he's only a couple of games above .500. I think this more BeBoer's PAC 12 pedigree influencing the team overall. Let's see how the defense looks against Tennessee. Florida's defense was very effective.
