Lanier is quite possibly the worst football player I've seen in my 47 years of living and that's being kind.

No shit.

Unless we wind up beating 3 out of Mizzou, A&M, OM or Tenn b/c of some improved defense, I don't see keeping Hutzler.

So basically, Hutzler, who has a great scheme, is the sacrificial lamb for some of you when the reason the defense is bad is because Zach Arnett did an absolute shit job of recruiting and player development. The guy lived on what he inherited when he was hired.

I still think this staff was terrible to start. I will be the first to say I didn't think this team could hang with Texas and Georgia for 5 mins though, so credit where credit is due. I'm still pissed for crap preparation at the beginning of the season, but I will chalk it up to inexperience and hope they continue to improve.

You don't think leach should bear some responsibility for the lack of talent also?

The QB is going to be really really good if he stays healthy

He's never been a DC and it shows. Damn. He made Skittle Do look like McCaffery his senior year at Stanford. Those vacant gaps vs Florida are unforgivable. That was a pee wee football mistake, not D1 college ball.

skittle do is still running thru folks and will be in the nfl next year but yea hutzler needs talent to survive

That and couldn't tackle. We're doing better so we'll see. The scheme is what worries me. How did he not adjust when they loaded up on one side.
Did Lebby make changes? We are making progress if nothing else

I would say the team I've seen the last two games beats both ASU and Toledo by two touchdowns. There have been some big improvements. Is Hutzler adjusting his scheme? Has he figured something out? Is Barnes more hands on with the defense? Don't know. But, it's going to be interesting watching the next 6 games.

Yep and if MVB played way he did today maybe Florida too. If this is year 2 for Lebby with this same roster we are 3-3 at worse.

Hopefully MVB stays. You know that there will be some teams after him. That and we don't have to use a lot of our nil to keep him

They don?t quit. We tackle better than many. Outside of WR we have little to no SEC talent.

It should be fine. The big NIL QBs are usually older guys not true freshmen. But if we replaced him with Jackson Arnold I?m happy there too

Right now I'm just happy we didn't hire Dave Clawson.
