Ok I'll say it
Does anyone else think we go after Luke Altmeyer in the offseason?
He has one year of eligibility left and is from Starkville, obvious former connections to the team through his Dad and he played for Lebby at Ole Miss.
Also and most importantly he seems to be playing well for Illinois.
-
Let Lebby determine that. gotta trust him
-
Who's to say Lebby didnt try last year and got turned down? Alot of kids get out of Mississippi and dont want to come back until they are much older.
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

If he did I wasn't aware.
-
One would assume after recruiting and coaching the kid he would have reached out when he got our job if he wanted him. Or Luke would have reached out had he wanted to return to Mississippi to play for him

I would look for us to take a QB in the portal based on what I was told today. Name I was told was interesting til I did some digging and there are some legs to it.
-
Speaking of Illinois, Fat Bert got them in the top 25.
And no, Altmeyer isn't coming back to MS.

If this QB that you?re talking about is injury prone, he can stay where he is at. I?m not interested in a Stevens,Costello or Shapen

We have been a transfer portal land mine for QBs…….

I think Arnold has been pretty healthy for his career.

Remember that OK promoted two offensive coaches to Co-OCs so one, or both, of them wouldn't follow Lebby to State. The offense has definitely dropped with Lebby gone. Some of it may be Arnold but a lot of it is Lebby not being there.

If he wants to be here, we have the funds. I know he and the family are not happy with the direction the offense is going under Littrell. The only reason that kid is even at OU is Jeff Lebby.
-
Money is always nice but Altmeyer's family really doesn't need any. He's playing well and Illinois is playing well so I don't know why he'd come to State unless he just misses playing in incessant heat in late September.
