[QUOTE=Apoplectic;1617850]can we afford to average 30k for home games for the next 3 years[/
This year is going to suck hard, we know that. So support the program or not, it’s up to you. We are all in the same boat like it or not and this staff didn’t make this mess. They are the ones trying to un17 it and it’s a tough row to hoe.

I moved on to watching NFL last year. If I want to watch a bunch of guys getting bank to play football I’m going to watch the better product.

What really sucks to me is waiting all year for college football to be here and the past 2 years we aren't even competitive. We haven't played any big stakes games or had an exciting team in years. It's just very frustrating year after year being irrelevant. There is no excitement for games and hasn't been in a long time. After awhile, that takes a toll on fans. Just look how long it took to drag our basketball program from the abyss.

Mark Stoops went 2-10 in year one at Kentucky.

One way or the other it's going to come down to his recruiting. The question is by year three is Lebby Rockey Felker or is he Bob Tyler?
I don't know. Just coming back from the game and having watched us I think the offense is better but still left some points on the board.
The defense looked the same as it has all year long.
Special teams for the most part has been good outside of a few instances.
On the surface it appears to me that if we improve our defense with some slightly better talent and maybe a new DC while improving the offense talent and continuing on the path we are there we could turn this around fairly quickly.

Fisch went 1-11 at Arizona his first year then by year 3 he was winning a NY6 bowl. Got to give Lebby time

I see an offense that has about 50% of the players needed to even compete in our league, and 10% needed on defense. This wasn’t run into the ground overnight and won’t get fixed quick either.

This is the best example bc it's during this period of CFB

Not taking up for Lebby or anything, but Matt Rhule went 1-11 in his first year at Baylor, 7-6 the next, and then 11 wins, a Big 12 CG appearance, and the Sugar Bowl in year three.

I mean I see signs with the offense. We looked good today. Situationally need to be better
Defense we just need better dudes and prob a new DC

He won the Alamo Bowl which is not a NY6 Bowl, but I get what you're saying

We have pieces of the whole. This is one of the reasons Toledo took our lunch money. Candle is a damn good coach and has been at Toledo for seven years. He has built a program while Lebby is dealing with leftovers and a hand me down team in his first year. I'd bet a Christmas goose Hutzler won't be here next year. If we are still this bad in year three after portal players, HS recruiting and new asst. coaches Lebby and Selmon should be run off.

And that unfortunately leads back to Keenum making a stupid decision.
