I'm sure he got some guys he wanted and also had to settle in some guys but I don't that he was handed over a bad team. With the portal now a days you can build a team really fast, alot of the guys on this roster are guys he brought in.

Bingo. We're paying the price for hiring Leach. He left a roster devoid of talent and only capable of playing in his gimmick offense at Texas Tech and Wazzu, too. And we didn't exactly kill it in the portal even though we got a bunch of bodies.

I really hate to be the wet blanket, but I don't think we're going to be even minimally relevant again. We can't compete monetarily in the NIL era. Any good players we have will be bought away from us by richer programs - look no further than Woody. You can't even be a development program now because of the portal. We'll be lucky to stay in the SEC and not be kicked out down to G5.

This. Our administration fumbled the ball with Mullen. We had all the momentum in the world. Since then we have had opportunities but our big money boosters keep fumbling the ball. This is the only constant. Why do we always suck? There is only one constant…the same boosters and administration keeps mismanaging. Yes…we change AD’s but there are a lot of people in our program that keep us down. It’s unfortunate but the gig is up and it won’t be fixed in the next decade.
