It is weird isn?t it. But historically we can get those trench guys so I don?t hate the approach of getting someone who can recruit and coach the other stuff, give Lebby 2 years to turn over the roster

I’ll make sure to do Year 1 comparison between Leach and Lebby at season’s end
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

Sounds good. Let?s see how much of a fight we put up with a full 85 and a spring practice. Leach didn?t have either

Man let it go. Leach passed away. We didn?t fire him, he didn?t retire, it was his time to get called home. He isn?t coming back. I hope you enjoy Will?s success at Washington this year and I hope you enjoy what Sam and Nelson are doing at Brandon. You do know that yall aren?t running the Air Raid there right? Do you vocalize that in meetings as much as you do here?

Also if Hutzler doesn't improve we will replace him.
We can rebuild pretty quickly because of the portal.
Not if we cant evaluate any better than we did this year.

Yes, I was complimenting our QB on his ability to stretch the field. He?s accurate too.

Yeah I don’t know if we scooped up leftovers because we had to have bodies, or our evaluations were not very good. Either way, something has to change for the better. Or lastly, that’s all we could afford.

1st year Coach walked into a messed up locker room. No way in his first year as HC he was gonna knock it out of the park. He now has a little more information what he needs going forward.

This is the part that eludes some, we actually spent significant NIL money on guys this year. I don't understand the guys we brought in, and the overall gameplan on how to use NIL to get difference-makers on campus.
Spending NIL to get some some G5/borderline P4 guys is not a smart strategy.

Bit of a hot take, our offense was worse than our defense yesterday. We expected a rough defense this year, and we all expected a high scoring game. I was of the opinion all week that if we score 30 plus which I figured we could be capable of doing last night we would win the ball game. The offense came up short of that with an awful first half to blame for it.
It's hard on an offense when your defense can't get off the field. A drive killing mistake on two different series can cost you most of a half. An adequate defense and our offense gets a change to recover after a mistake and get back into rhythm. That's basically what happened in the third quarter.

Anyone could see the 3-3-5 was not stopping the run and it shouldn't have taken 3 1/2 quarters to adjust. I also read all preseason how fast we were and even had a speed coach in our S&C program. Our entire D, especially LB's looked slow. Without Issac Smith they put up 50. We also seem to have spent little time on wrapping up while trying to. make a tackle. We have a very young coaching staff ecept for a coach that can no longer close the deal on DL talent it seems. Oh well, maybe we improve. Hail State!
