I am a lot more bullish on Mancini than the Houston kid, I assume you are talking about Ace Reese. A .278 avg with only 7 HRs does not really jump off the page at me. The OBP and OPS numbers are nice, but nothing really jumps off the page.

Well like everyone has said, including Lemonis defenders, if he has another bad year next year then he is done. I am going to wait til August to see what we end up with. If it's bad I will just mentally check out. I'm not ever going to wish another bad season for our fans to have to sit through.

I will also add that the silence on who we are going after for the most part is hurting Lemonis. I get not wanting to reveal who all you are after, but when you are not getting anyone and you are revealing at least one or two names of who you are after then it makes it look like you are not just sitting on your hands. He needs to be leaking at least 1 in every 4 or 5 names that visit just to show he is actually on some good prospects and not look like he is just sitting in his office counting the days until he collects a severance check.

It's not. And I would suspect that if we don't have a couple of commits from pitchers in the next 10-14 days then we are up a creek and just lost the paddle.

He had to fight to keep his job last year, and that was really his last opportunity to pull out all the stops to clean things up and adapt to the new NIL and portal landscape. What has changed? It doesn't seem like anything has. Lemonis still runs the program like it's the CIA, and you can't talk about anything.

Thatcher Hurd into the portal. I still remember the gnashing of teeth when we didn't get him or Christian Little. I would be willing to take a shot at Hurd, but he entered with a do not contact tag so sounds like he knows where he is going. I would imagine he is headed back out West.

Again, I have stated the entire time that I will wait until August to judge and I am going to stick by that. I am not going to sit here and say I am not concerned or worried, but I am going to reserve judgement until the end.
