1b Stevens (which he is red hot apparently in summer ball)
2B Pulliam
Ss Mershan if he stays, if not we have got to get a big time transfer
3b Open or the NBama kid. I would have went after the Denton kid from UT
LF Chance
Cf who knows. Need a big get here
Rf who knows
DH I’m guessing Highfill till he gets his arm back right…

So technically we need a legit SS, a legit CF, and a legit Rf. If Lemonis can’t ATELAST pull those 3, we are in serious shit…

On another note, someone made the comment maybe we need to overpay like everyone else. Maybe everyone else is actually just paying and we are acting like we are poor as usual. You don’t have to spend a fortune on a whole team, but you need those 3 listed above to ATLEAST have some kind of offense. (Even tho I don’t think it will

The man is so paranoid he won't even discuss recruiting. The proof is in the pudding with recruiting. People don't want to see we aren't signing top portal guys. Teams are loading up on we can't even get a look. Parker will get a couple guys by we won't sign many difference makers outside of pitching.

The only reason that narrative is being floated is because he won't give insider info to Robbie.

Which is the same reason he wanted Leach gone and flipped out when Hollinghead was hired over Bumphis.

And a big reason why Lemonis probably won't talk to him is because of some of the shit he spewed early in the season.

Cupp will probably play SS. I think Stevens will start in RF for now. We may be hoping that Dante Nori and Henry Allen take CF and 1B respectively but I'm also 100% sure that we're going to to fill those spots in the portal.

The pitching staff as it stands is probably Pico and some combination of Stevens, Loftin, Makhai Grant, Cade O'Leary, Luke Dotson, Karson Ligon, and Ryan McPherson. Not a very experienced group. So obviously we need some arms from the portal. And who knows what we're going to get from Stone Simmons at this point? Or Holcombe for that matter.

Understatement in my opinion. The lineup as of today would be the worst lineup we've fielded since 2015. I honestly thought we'd come out swinging hard in the portal. Dominos falling all around us but none our way. It's quite depressing.

I brought this up in 2022 and I still believe it today. Hell go back and look at that 2022 team they had. Their 5’9 CF looked like Barry Bonds. That is not just a killer S&C program.

Yep, my son talks to him at least once a week. He asked one sec team last week for 50k more than he was asking. He's doing the sec equivalent of the price is right.
