Apparently Gaut and Lemonis are best buds. The only way to get rid of Gaut is get rid of Lemonis.

If we get him he could follow the same path as Tyson Hardin and Tyler Davis but with elite closer potential.

Definitely someone I would like to see us take a chance on even if he turns out to be Colby Holcombe 2.0.

Lemonis made it pretty clear in his last interview that the way he intended to fix the offense would be by recruiting better hitters.

    It's a bold strategy Cotton.

Seems reasonable but how do you really really evaluate that?

Here's the caveat with him, he had over a 30 ACT. He's been on academic scholarship at LSU. He's not going to hurt your scholarship allotment. I watched him some this year and he developed a slider and a change that he's never had. He completely overpowered A&M for four innings. He's got a little better stuff than Holcombe at this point but Holcombe got screwed by Foxy. Moffett has a better mindset. It's whether he can continue to improve. Being a small school guy, he was always going to need two or three years to learn to pitch. He was much better this year but still inconsistent.

Hey Cooter, we are in excellent shape with Moffett.

Talked to my son, last night and we are in excellent shape with Moffett. Had huge arm talent coming out of hs but was extremely raw. If he doesn't go play summer ball he will be working with my son at his training facility.

I agree. I guess the plan is if you have a pro strategy better hitters will offset the lack of fundamentals?

Rosey is reporting to expect at least one out of the portal this weekend. I've heard closer to two or three

Thinking one is going to be North Alabama 3B Gehrig Frei.

    Switch hitter.

.320/15 HR/49 RBI/1.017 OPS, 10% K% and 10% BB% for a 1:1 K:BB ratio, which is really good. Fielded .943 which is not awful but not great. Hits better from the left side. Definitely a good start

Would not be surprised if Moffett was one of the commits in the next day or so. We will have to see how the draft goes for Kash. He is definitely a draft risk guy.

We have the definite inside track on him...maybe something good came out of playing that game after all.

Yes, Parker is a Canadian whisperer, I am astonished with his accomplishments with Hardin, Davis, and Stephenz.

With Stephens, from Ok Big 10 pitcher to 1st Team All SEC is awesome work. MSUs 1st team All SEC pitchers include dudes like Stratton, Hudson and Small. Even a legend like Landon Simms was 2nd Team.

Wonder what Parker will accomplish with Stevens, Dotson, Grant, Loftin, Ligon, Holcombe, and Black with a full year as their coach.

Looks like a very good prospect, need an experienced lefty to replace Zach Davis' contributions. He made a big improvement year over year in BB. Also pitched against MSU in 2023.

ECU is losing 8 players to the portal. Root the RHP and now OF Bristol Carter.

Carter was supposed to be top returner and was an elite recruit for ECU.

A freshman with a 346 average and 156 ABs of experience. Murders LHP with a 373 average.
