I am not "baseball only" I recognize that a "good" football or a good basketball season does more to help States reputation than a "good" baseball season. HOWVER, we simply do not have enough resources to be "good" at those sports. Would you rather me mediocre and forgettable in everything? Or sub par in 2 sports and really good and fun to watch in the 3rd? Baseball is the ONLY sport we can be great at and we have been for a decade. Gary freaking Henderson got this team to Omaha. To accept non stop little league baserun ing and coaching mistakes is insulting to the program. He needs to go.

We'll never know what would have happened if Black had been left in to continue his dominance. I just know that in college baseball, you don't pull a hot pitcher. He was absolutely dealing.

Yep, unfortunately he made the move, but I really believe it would have been a 1 run game if Black was kept in. Only way I would have pulled him was if he hurt himself.

I understand this thought but I also do not like that outlook. Who says? ?People? will say you should not have? Or will write articles? That is fine. They do not have a day.

And there is a valid argument that it will make it harder to hire a coach. I think it is just as valid an argument that making it clear you are not ok with mediocrity will help attract the kind of coach you actually want.
