That was a good pitch. But it was a ball. I don?t know how Long didn?t swing and miss at that one.

At least Downs got a hit which allowed Long to bat. That allows us to lead off the third with the top of the lineup.

I've gotten to the point where I was glad to see downs reach base just so Long could end the inning and not put an out on the board with our lineup turning over next inning.
