Hines should take the 1st pitch 75% of the time. Yet he wont

Can we teach Long how to hold a bat?

Can someone who knows more about baseball explain Long’s bat placement in his stance? Is there a reason he holds it like that?
-
Hines should look the opposite field on every swing, but he doesn?t. Same with Dakota, but they seem to come inside on Dakota way more.

Half our batters are automatic outs, or at least it appears that way.

Their 3B is almost on top of 2B. If we could teach Hines how to bunt he would be bunting doubles.

There is zero reasons to hold the bat that way. I swear, if he would hold the bat any other way, including upside down it would be more useful.

I said last night that 3,4,8, and 9 were automatic outs. Tonight it will be 4,7, and 9. 5 and 8 could join before the night is over though.

Dakota doesn't have a super effective swing path. Hines swings at too many bad pitches.

Yep. If I were Hujsak, Powell, Mersh, Larry, and Chance I would have a quick team meeting and tell the other 4 to get their shit together.

Brady Anderson hit 50 HR's one season holding it that way
It's all about what you do with the bat in the zone. He wont hit well no matter where he holds the bat. He doesnt recognize pitches well

The way you hold your bat is irrelevant. All that matters is your position at launch.

There is a 4? spot on the center down that Dakota absolutely destroys. Unfortunately he thinks every ball is there.

And one of the other four would tell them to eat a dick and get out of their face. Team meetings rarely accomplish anything

Disagree. The only thing that matters is getting the barrel to the ball, but if your body has to hitch to get it there you have less time to decide what to do.

They can say whatever they want. I am not sure if Dakota and others even have a single hit since Sunday.

Lemonjello falling apart now. And he’s not even at his usual 3rd time around the order

I agree but a meeting wont change a damn thing. Until they change their approach? Things will stay the same

Damn Lemonis. That is as bad as Hines swinging at the first big slider 3 feet from his bat.
