I think it's losing Dohm added to losing Loftin along with Holcombe being a bust this year. That's 3 of our best arms giving us nothing. We just don't have enough without them to be consistent.

Yep. I'm aggravated, but not too mad about it. Win 2 next weekend and we did exactly what we needed.

Just winning 2 next weekend gets us to only 17-13, which is not going to be good enough to host. We need to win all 3 to feel good about our chances.

Now when I said take care of business I did mean we need to sweep.

I still think that 17 gets us a bid. Sure will make us feel better. With our RPI holding strong at 15 I like where we are.

Hujsack being in the lineup would have helped immensely with that.

Without a doubt. And even though it has been a season long problem we really miss the offense that Highfill provided us.

Yeah. IMO we've been done in by our injuries more than anything this season. What is this team with a healthy Pico? We probably get a lot more than 4 innings out of him if he is 100%. It causes us to go deep into the bullpen and that's a recipe for disaster.

Everyone loses pitchers. But yes this hurt.
Having Dohm, Loftin, non-mental Holcombe, and Simmons would be +4 more SEC wins even with JL3 being JL3. I think MSU would be about 18-8 today with these guys pitching and performing.
(1) probably sweep LSU
(2) win 1 more at TAM
(3) win 1 more at Arky
(4) take 2/3 versus OM or sweep
(5) win 1 more at UF
Injury is part of baseball, though.

Thunderstorms in the forecast for Tuesday. That would be great news for the RPI.

I?ve been saying all season when do we we fix the same absolutely ridiculous stupid stuff?
1. Base running blunders yet game 3 we
have a player sliding past 2nd base on
a walk for 3rd out. WTF
2. Parker taking a trip to the mound to talk
to the pitcher before a crucial pitch to a
batter that has been hurting us all 3
games. Pitcher then pitch?s a pitch right
down the middle for a home run. Come
on man.
3. Throwing a pitch in the dirt for a pass
ball. Advancing their runners.
4. Walking the lead off batters.
I could go on and on and on!
