Games like this are why you can't make decisions about coaching retention on singular things like "did we make the post season". Lemonis' bullpen management has been questionable at best his whole tenure. The constant fundamental mistakes that cost games add up. He's not good at anything but acting a fool after he makes a good play, which is very rare

If we had fired him last summer and replaced him with a good coach, we'd be in contention for a top 8 national seed. The talent is here. Our coach holds us back. We've kinda risen above it some this year in spite of Lemonis.
