For the record...
We're still projected to make a regional. If we do that, Lemonis is staying. I know that's unpopular, but that's how it is.
It's the roller coaster of hope that this program keeps us on that makes it hell being a State fan. - CadaverDawg, 10/15/22

Pretty sure that was before this weekend.
Again we have zero margin for error. And shrinking. Our RPI is bad enough that 14 SEC wins may get us left out.
-
If we aren't hosting or at least a high 2, Lemonis is gone, barring a run to Omaha.
If we're a 3 who barely makes it and then gets bounced, Lemonis is 100% fired. Etch it.

We aren't making a regional. With our RPI, we'll have to win 15 games to get in. And this team isn't consistent enough to win 15 games. I think we end up with 12 or 13 which will be improved, but not enough. Send his fat ass packing and don't invite him back for at least 20 years to recognize the championship team

Unfortunately, we are doing exactly what my goal was for this season (so far)
SEC - Win 2/3 at home and at least 1 game on the road.

I think this is the likely scenario unless this team is broken and just tanks it from here on out.

To make it, I think we need 8 more sec wins...
Auburn
At vandy
Bama
At ark
Mizzou
If we pull off a sweep of Auburn, Bama, or mizzou, we might actually get there.

I'm pretty sure we'll piss away at least one game a weekend.

I'm certainly not betting on it. The schedule is actually favorable for it though.

Inconsistency and poor decision makings isn’t a good sign for success in Coaching. When you go in your third year without a closer says a lot.

Dohm or loftin coming back and being successful or Stevens figuring it out is our only hope

Yeah. Why would we change? It’s a regular occurrence now

One can only wish but it’s pretty late now for wishing it seems.

It’s time for a change. We did have to lose a series to OM eventually. That being said, it’s the fashion in which we lost, and to an inferior team.

It's not just this series. It's everything. It's not like we beat Central Arkansas two weeks ago.
This team is underachieving badly. And it's been all year.

I agree. I just want to watch good baseball.

Unlikely this holds up. Too many losses coming our way.

Totally disagree that Ole Miss is an inferior team.
They won 2 of 3 against #20 South Carolina, win 1 of 3 against #5 Tennessee, got swept by #1 Arkansas and #8 Kentucky, and took 2 of 3 from over-rated #22 State. I'd say they have the easy part of their schedule ahead of them. I would not be surprised if they finished ahead of State in the end.

Exactly! We have the same issues we have had for three years. Anyone who watches our baseball team enough, sees the same incompetence each week. This is a coaching problem, it is that simple.

I totally agree.
