Looks like high class A in upper NY. It was a great article about Cade and two other Yankee prospects being there top 3 going into this season. Interesting saying they had to “reconstruct “ his breaking ball. Said his out pitch his his breaking ball. Seems at MSU they changed what he did best which he never walked many in Travel Ball and High School. Said he is much improved. LOL, I know I am bragging. Looks like he has a good chance making the Bigs one day.

So glad to hear this! Foxhalls cookie cutter approach to pitching didn't do very many of our pitchers justice. Keep us posted on his progress!

I think what hurt Cade was him trying to throw 94-95 every pitch. Yankees have him 91 to 94 range. They are pretty high on his potential.

Exactly right! We ruined Landon Gartman. I've watched that kid since he was young. He had an awesome sinker and slider but fox tried to get him throwing 4 seamer's up with a 92-93 fastball which wasn't his game. And he injured his arm!
Velo isn't always the answer. Locating your fastball and pitching to your strengths is the answer!

I remember him coming in the regional when we played FSU. He was just awesome changing speeds and locating. Struck out Perez there big first baseman with78 MPH change up. What a great dirt baggers we had back then. And one of the greatest moments ever for any sport at MSU was Burke Masters homer. Never heard a more electric place or sound that day!

I remember that day very well! We were sitting a few rows up from first base dugout. Great memories!

Even worse given the pitching lab we have available.
I wish Gartman would give it another go but if he doesn't I get it.

That change up was maybe 58. It ranges from upper 50's to "
Low 60's. Not 78!! Ha. It was for sure not 78.
