There's a play where having Britton over Detz is better- Britton gets the lead runner there
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

Think if Detz screws that play up? Then you would have had 2 on with no outs.

Yeah, Detz did not make such a dumb play after all. The shit you guys give him is uncalled for sometimes.

I agree. I think he made the right play. However it goes back to little league, look the guy back and then make the throw, don't just come up and make a leisure throw to first

How about just looking the runner back like an average fielder would do?

Off topic a bit but how great would it be to have a guy like Wes at first as another infielder. Heck just threw one a bit high for any other first baseman but he just stretched that arm up. He is easily our best defender and a lot of it is because of size alone

Big 'un
Curve strike (who saw that coming*) 0-1
FB away 1-1
HUGE swing on a changeup 1-2
Big cut with 2 strikes.. foul (good approach***) 1-2
Still around it with 2 strikes… 1-2
Curve in the dirt.. Fully expecting a backwards K here on a fastball
Curve flyout to 2B

a announcer just said 23 State alumni or players are either playing pro or working for a pro team. That's a lot.

Bottom line he got the out which we needed and the runner moving over didn't hurt us. Need to get a run back here
