12th would be improvement...
14th in 2022
13th in 2023

Win a natty (that prob wouldn?t have happened if NC State wasn?t forced to quit) then drain the pool the next few years and high dive over and over. Who on our lineup is scaring anybody? No one.

Why are foam bat guys like Highfill and Downs DH'ing. They are marginal SEC caliber hitters, maybe not really D1 as hitters.
Because they're better than the other guys we have.......Let that sink in........

That was some of the worst coaching decisions I've seen. Holcombe was fortunate to get out of the 8th without giving up a run with the walk and hit batter. He shouldn't have ever been brought back in the 9th and SURE shouldn't have seen a 2nd batter after the leadoff walk. Could Schulke not have pitched one more inning today? We are going to need every win we can muster because this team is going to struggle when we hit SEC play. I can live with losing but today's game was just given away by Holcombe's walks which sounds very familiar to last year.

Hopefully we can bounce back tomorrow and skull drag their soft AF asses. I don?t want to say too much too soon because it?s the first weekend, but we haven?t walked as many as we did vs our last year first series opponent. At least I don?t believe we have which is an improvement I guess

The loss tonight aside, we just do not look like a good team. Our players look like TikTokers not dirtbags.

It is a long season, and I am not going to jump off the wagon after 2 games. However, when NCAA regional selection happens, every game counts. We let a win get away today. We can’t do that.

This is what bothers me too. I didn't see any "grit" other than a couple of pitchers.

I'm going to gripe loudly about any game lost where you have a 1 run lead going into the 9th, the opponent isn't hitting anything and you don't use a pitcher you can count on to throw strikes. Giving up 2 runs to lose the game on one seeing eye single because you leave a guy in that can't throw strikes is worth all the criticism received. I'll will be shocked if Lemonis is here next year with those kind of decisions.

Lol. Texas was the 2nd best team in the series that year. Then Vandy. Vandy was gonna smoke NC state but would have had to use a pitcher. That would have helped us.

Maybe we need to try Hubbard out as pitcher, seems to be the only closer we have on this campus. That is Josh Hubbard for the ones who thought baseball was more important than the actual winning team playing next door.

If you think basketball is going to out draw baseball at MSU you must like losing causes

Schulke looked great yesterday but was used in a FOUR run game but he couldn't be used for an inning today in a one run game? So we use him in a non save situation but he's unavailable to pitch the next day? I don't get it.

We lost this game because we decided to run the bases like a t-ball team. Period. End of summary.
Yeah Holcombe pitched badly but he has to sack up there and throw strikes. His mechanics were a mess.
That said it would have been nice to have Dohm available for that situation after he quits pretending to be a starting pitcher or Lemonis decides to pull the plug on it after he shows scouts that he can't do it.

Actually I think it was 2 and we expanded the lead.

We outhit them. We pitched as well as them outside of Holcombe. The difference is we have them a full inning of free outs on the base paths. And no errors.

No that is why I do not support Lemonis. Never have actually. Tried to tell everyone that he was winning with Cohen and Cann talent but everyone said I was stupid.
