Opening day baseball weirdness
A player from Sacramento State had 8 plate appearances in a game, and was hit by a pitch 7 times. It’s a safe assumption that he now leads the nation in HBP.

What is even crazier is they pinch hit for him in what would have been his 9th, and the PH got hit by a pitch

Oops. I missed the doubleheader part. But still hit 7 times in 8 plate appearances.

He got hit more in two games than anyone on our team did the entire season last year (except for Larry and Hancock).

Did we reallyhave 11,267 attendance yesterday? they said it was the largest opening day crowd at msu evah.

This reminds me why I really liked some of Cohen's teams. He had some real "dirtbag" types on his teams. They got hit HBP a lot.

We had a lot more at the ballfield than LSU, but that had more tickets distributed
