I agree we just aren't very talented. Hubbard has been Jans' best recruit and we got lucky getting him. Jans is going to have to surround Hubbard with someb real weapons but Im not confident in his recruiting. This great defense we are supposed to have is non existent also.. we can't score, other than Hubbard, and can't stop anyone thats a recipe for alot of losses

I love hubbard's scoring ability, but maybe 25 shots is a bit much.

Were down 69-63 with 3:53 left and the ball. We used the entire shot clock and Moore got his layup blocked and State gets the rebound. Uses up another 17 seconds and turns it over. So used nearly 45 seconds and got nothing out of the possession only down 6. It was over after that. At the 36 second mark, State was 1 for their last 8 shots.

I've been saying this for weeks. Go ahead and start Hubbard and let Fort get more minutes because we aren't getting anything out of Davis

Good point and I agree with you. But know one else was doing much scoring so I'll let that slide this game. We do need more perimeter scoring though because he's all we have right now

I would go with Hubbard, Shak, Jones, Cam and Tolu.

Not gonna happen. Jeffries knows where the bodies are buried (so to speak).

Hubbard is the only shooter on the team. If he gets hot, everything else opens up.

One thing to consider with Davis is assists. He obviously isn't scoring at all for whatever reason, but we had 9 assists tonight and 4 were by Davis. He's the only player that seems to get them

We made a run with Davis, Moore, Hubb, Cam and Tolu on the floor together. I'm fine with that group.

I'm more upset about how we actually have a great core of effort and intensity we just lack so much talent. And I mean so so so so much talent to really be good.

A good team would KILL to have someone like Matthews on their roster, but we rely on him for more than what he is. Just a terrible off season in terms of evaluating talent and adding the right pieces to get better.

oh well at least baseball is almost here to **** me up some more.

I've wanted to split DJ and cam up for a while, so I agree

In some good news, NW is about to get a big Q1 win over Illinois, and Washington state is up 5 in the 2nd half in a Q1 game vs utah.

Hopefully we can get ourselves playing well again soon

Not wanting to overreact but nothing I am seeing right now makes me think we make the tourney

I think you might be a little bit. We've had a brutal January schedule... hopefully we can get a win Saturday bc February is much more favorable. Look at the schedule, after bama, we could get on a nice streak.

5-17 at the 3. That is way too much

You've sold me. I think this should be our starting lineup Saturday.

I want to see more Jimmy Bell and less Tolu.

Idk, but I do wonder if part of our defense collapse has been tolu. We were defending at a high level pre-tolu, and not so much with him. How much of that is competition level though?

Why? Tolu ain't the problem. He didn't have great game but Jimmy Bell is not better than Tolu. Our problem is we have no perimeter scoring other than Hubbard, that in itself will things up for Tolu in the paint when he gets double and triple teamed so when he kicks it out our perimeter guys have to make them pay......but they don't, too many missed wide open shots. We lack scoring in a major way and our defense isn't what people hype it up to be.
