Yea Davis was not a bad evaluation. Texas nor Bo Davis offer projects.

I've seen him all through HS. The staff wasn't high on him either. Soft and lazy is the problem there. He got all his offers at the end of the recruiting cycle when people were taking chances on the best they could find last minute bargain shopping. We're about to sign a much better player to fill his spot.

Is Voisin and the USA db the same person or are you referring to someone else?

I'm basing it off of the fact that he is leaving us after not contributing at all and people on this board and others are saying it is no big loss and that he can't play at this level.
So yeah, that is a bad evaluation by our last staff.

Jordan Davis was a beast before he got injured. He was never the same after that.

Exactly. Injury killed his career. With all this modern medicine, I thought ACL tears would be no problem to ounce back from. Seems like we?ve had quite a few not be the same and never make it fully back. Maybe it puts fear in some too?

There are a lot of factors that go into it. Sometimes it's hard to come back mentally. Sometimes the repair isn't as good as it should be for whatever reason. Sometimes people don't put the rehab work in that they should- although that is typically less of a problem with athletes and they are more notorious for overdoing rehab than not.

FWIW, I was told that Specialty Orthopedic Group was trying to get Mississippi State away from Columbus Ortho.

We should be using the best available in MS. I mean these specialists turn out a butt load of these surgeries a year and you figure in today’s time, almost all would make a complete recovery.

Man if I had NFL dreams, I would be busting my butt. But the circumstances of his injury may be different and just didn’t work out for him. Surely MSU would keep him on the correct pace of rehab and not let anyone over do it.

The SOG guys are very good. That's who I refer patients to in Tupelo if they want to see ortho, unless they request someone else.

I remember people saying that about Dillion Johnson too. Some of those same people saying ?bad eval? were the same ones talking about how good he was when he was coming out-so maybe just maybe don?t listen to them?

If Davis transfers to a top 25 Power 5 program, i'll come eat crow. If he goes to South Alabama or USM I think we made a bad evaluation.

I'm told he feels he's deserving of a better offer from a more prominent organization.........

Every kid in the portal with money on their mind thinks they are worth more than what they really are. I bet reality has bit a big chunk out of a lot of their asses. They talk about so many players in the portal that never get picked up
