Stone Blanton
I knew he would be in the portal and it's happening. Some "in the know" posters were wrong about him and I think most, including myself, were surprised how good he was at LB year one. Hope we bring him home.

We are gonna need strong LBs who can stop the run next year
-
“It’s happening” means we are talking to him?

If I am not mistaking, didnt he let his brother ruin his chances the first go around? His brother was shopping him around and didnt get the price he wanted from State or Ole Miss and South Carolina paid it. Or at least that was the rumor, if I am not mistaking.

He was playing golf at the CC yesterday in front of us.

If that's the case I'm sure he's doing the same again.

I don't think it was so much shopping as it was his brother is a big OM guy and wanted him there. Was very outspoken on Twitter, tagging OM coaches etc...
He has other family that are State fans is my understanding.

First It's Coming
But wait, there's more!

Welp, that explains why he is in the portal.....another bite at the Apple.

He?s turned into a good LB. He would be a nice get.
-
I'd take him. He can help us and would pair well with John Lewis. We need LB's.

Correct. Dad, Mom, and one of his brothers went to State. The other brother went to OM and was very outspoken about wanting Stone to come to Ole Miss. Stone has A LOT of friends at State and that is where he will end up. A good pickup for us. Never a bad thing when you can get an SEC starter

Of course, seems no matter who else is in the family, even if a recruit has a second cousin twice removed that is an OM person then they will be the biggest influence in that recruit's decision. It is seriously no joke when people say that OM boosters had much rather win a recruiting battle than an actual football game.
