Ummm... Barbay ran what App State does here. Hollinghead replaced one of the best young up and coming offensive minds in the country and they were near the top of their conference in PPG and total offense.

2022 state - 62nd nationally
2023 wku - 54th nationally
2023 state - 103rd nationally
The drop in rank was pretty close - wku dropped 47 spots and we dropped 41 spots

Ah! Total offense- the most misleading stat in football. How about what really matters- PPG?
WKU went from 36 PPG to 31
MSU went from 32 PPG to 22.

And whose fault was that at MSU? Even if Hollinghead was worse at MSU it's obvious it would have been better than what MSU chose to do.

I prefer total offense in college. There's a lot of non-offensive scores in college and the OT rules can mess up that stat

And that applies moreso to total offense. PPG is more important because the point is to score.

I don't. I don't want a trend created where our starters go there and consistently compete for titles. I hope reality continues to show Will that he either has to become a gamer or pick up a clipboard.
