That's because they are not taught any offensive sets or plays. It's just play good defense and hope it turns into easy buckets. But it never does. You would think we could learn a few different offensive plays.

Yeah, I'm afraid this is always going to be us under Jans. He'll assemble what looks like a talented roster, we'll have flashes of being really good, then we'll regress to really bad, and we'll be a few places on either side of the bubble most years, and just really bad every few years.

Tried to tell folks to get ready for ugly basketball when we hired Jans. This is always how his teams have played. If we wanted to win with offense we needed to look at someone like Richey (Furman).

Don?t get me wrong I like Jans but as much as he requires on the defensive end he is completely the opposite on offense. Zero accountability on that end of the floor and no real sense of roles. Poor shot selection from the wrong players, lack of movement, bad positioning. Only thing that covers it up is to have one player step up and take over a game which happened with Hubbard earlier and Tolu a lot last year.

We're good enough to be a 5 seed +/- 1 seed, but we'll be sweating selection Sunday, hoping we're on the right side of the bubble. That's my guess.

We're definitely capable and likely will get back to form. But this stretch is certainly cringeworthy.

Geez people, we were a "Sweet 16" team 4 games ago. We are fine, just in a funk. GT, our 1 loss, just beat Duke.
