My understanding is neither injury or illness is severe and both girls could play, but neither traveled so that is why I asked if something is going on. Jessica has had her share of off the court issues in the past. I hope it is just pre-cautionary toward injury and illness recovery, but quad 3 losses are painful.

I was at the game. 4 points:

1) UTC is better than you'd think, they're 8-0.

2) UTC had a girl off the bench who couldn't miss from 3

3) our coach SUCKED! We shot the 3 ball well but the 2nd half she wouldn't let them shoot. We ran the exact same "drive to the basket" play, but UTC would crash with 4 defenders and we NEVER kicked it out. We'd just have the shorter player on the court shoot and get it blocked. UTC was begging us to shoot the 3 and our coach refused.

4) our team was dead, UTC had a ton of energy. I don't know if it's a culture problem or just a fluke of being on the road with your coach out, but we did not win any hustle plays.

I think both the men and women's teams mistakenly thought that once they got ranked the season was over. Neither team has shown up since being ranked.
