Cause the NFL front offices have a great track record of hiring coaches. They love their retreads and loser coaches.

FWIW, Dave Bartoo was apparently talking about Elko on ESPN radio. Said Michigan State wasn’t hiring but another school was. Said that school wasn’t Texas A&M.

That was at Missouri 2 years removed from back to back SEC Championship appearances and he goes 25-25. And UGA, Tennessee and Florida were in the doldrums and struggling and goes .500 with a NFL QB.

Let me add he also lowered their recruiting from mid 20s to the mid 50s nationally.

He went 19-19 and 10-14 in the SEC with an NFL QB in a terrible SEC East. What do you think he?s going to do without an NFL QB in the new SEC? Be better than .500?
