I knew an asst coach at Kentucky (in another sport) while sumrall was there and a guy that works for Troy. Both say the same thing. Sumrall is going to be a star in this profession. He values relationships with his players. And he has had two good records at Troy. I think he would be on the short list for Kentucky if stoops ever left. He would be a gamble with no power 5 head experience, but ppl that know him speak very highly. I remember him going ape on an official in his first game at Troy when they were playing at ole miss. I like a little fire from the head guy occasionally on the sidelines. Haven?t had that since Mullen. Jackie Wayne used to get pissed once or twice a season as well.

Dude, he recruited in the 40s and 50s. He didn't do squat there except less than both coaches other side of his dumb ass.
He also has a significant buyout that we'd look foolish paying. It comes down to Fritz and Lebby it seems.
One close to being done, one getting started. My money is on this going on til maybe Monday. We should know soon. Let's see if we're the same old MSU or try something new.
