What does "connected to the university mean?" We need to push that envelope. Take our concession rights, merch rights, advertising, corporate sponsorships etc and lease those rights to the Bulldog Initiative for $1 a year. Let BI use that $8 million or so in revenue that those things produce annually as their base and fundraise for more. The new SEC Tv will more than replace it. We are gonna have be creative to stay in the game.

1) set up tents at every event to sign people up
2) on weekdays, cold call every person who has ever graduated from State to ask for a $10 - $100 per month commitment
That they would get good results.
It is like any sales - call 100 people, sign up 15 ( or whatever the math is).
IMO, Our way is to get small donors ( like me) involved.
I think it's still a tough sell for a lot of fans. I want to believe a narrative can be developed that will cause fans to nod and re-engage. Personally haven't spent any time trying to gin what might be an effective message.

Wait, yall don't contribute already?

Arnett's (or whoever our new coach is) wife start up a business and give out huge NILs to players. Obviously it would have to be more discreet than this, but something similar haha

Think you're on to something Brunswick. Remove the direct funding of NIL by fans that chafes a lot of folks. Fans will pay more for the non-NIL things without a lot of fuss and then re-direct the additional revenue to player monies.

Realistically every kid that is being recruited is asking for $$$ so there?s that.

Personally, I think it would be legal. You see rights assignments and non-profit arrangements like this all the time. Think of a county baseball park that has a youth league that they "lease" the park to. The youth league sells the scoreboard to Coke, makes money off the concession stand, gets local businesses to sponsor teams, pays the umps, buys the equipment, and does some of the basic maintenance. The league benefits by having facility that generates revenue and the county benefit buy having the league available to the community. NIL could be done the same way.

I?m pretty sure that a large majority of ?know it all?s? don?t contribute at all, but by God they come here to tell you what needs to be done from their high school playing days. Plus, they research all coaches on their iPads to justify their message board badassery while peeling a few off on Pornhub!
It?s almost worth not paying for season tickets, but making a contribution to the NIL instead. Your season tickets and the money you spend on a weekend are worthless if the on the field product is horrible. I would rather sit home and watch us win/compete then waste money on going to see a shit show! Financially, you?re better off contributing to the NIL than buying season tickets, hotels, meals, & tailgating.
25,000 alumni donating $1k per year is $25mm. How much do you spend for 6-8 home games in one season??$6-8k per season if not more?

Ha. Ordering tickets. I should have cancelled mine this year when I couldn?t get club level tickets. Will not get them next year. As I am a UGA bulldog fan now.

From the looks of the Club Level and all lower levels by halftime last night, there may be plenty of opportunity to buy tickets in any spot you want next season if this continues.

There should be a "paid" version of ED like you said and the money goes towards NIL. Keep the free board, but we can see those who are willing to contribute.

This makes too much sense for MSU to adopt. Will probably be done by our rival if they haven't already done so.

This is great. Let's do it. Let them run the parking situation too.

This is a good point. My BC donation is 800 bucks alone for 2 seats. The season tickets themselves are almost that much alone.
-
Another idea: If you show a receipt for a Bulldog Initiative donation, you get credit in seating preference as if it were a Bulldog Club donation. I think that's distinct enough to get away with in the rules.
-
I'm sure Charlie is also talking to our NFL Bulldogs.
We said what? We need 10-15 million?
If Dak, Elgton Jenkins, Cross, Chris Jones, Simmons, Sweat, and Slay donate 1 million apiece that's 7 million right there. They could probably negotiate that into their contract and let NFL teams fund it.
Add in all of the other good ideas and we're on our way!

We could also use that SEC money to give MSU fans a "loan" at 0% interest which the MSU fan then donates back to NIL.
I do like your idea though.
