IMO, all these "We're keeping Arnett" rumors are to keep the class together. If he keeps loosing, they'll fire him at the end of the year.

Probably just making assumptions that fit his narrative. He's all aboard the Arnett train and he wants to quell us rioters by telling us "he's not getting fired so shut up".
