Just playing with numbers based on historical trends.
To be a national seed:
We need to win all of our home series and pull out one sweep.
We need to win 2 of our 4 road series and not get swept in the other two.
That puts us at 19-11 in the SEC.
To win the SEC:
We need to win all of home series and pull out two sweeps.
We need to win 3 of our 4 road series and not get swept in the other one.
That puts us at 21-9 in the SEC.
To host:
We need to win all of our home series
We need to win 1 of our 4 road series and not get swept in the other three.
That puts us at 17-13 in the SEC
Home series: Arkansas, Ole Miss, A&M, Tennessee
Road series: LSU, Missouri, Auburn, Alabama

I personally see us going at WORST 7-5 in our 3 road series and if we go 8-4 at home that will put us 19-11 in the SEC and on the borderline of hosting. All depends on how our RPI pans out with our terrible terrible losses to Holy Cross.

Need Arizona to start winning. That loss to them is our worst loss, RPI wise.
Holy Cross is ranked higher than our SEC opponent this weekend.

But 2 losses to a modestly higher HC is not any better than one loss to Az, maybe even worse, particularly since we lost to HC at home. Home losses are weighted heavier than away losses.

Our SEC schedule is favorable.
I'm guessing we sweep at least one of Arkansas/A&M and beat both Ole Miss and Tennessee. I'm saying at worst 9-3 in those home games.
Then I think we win at least 2 of the 4 road series and end up no worse than 6-6 on the road from here on out, probably 7-5 with a chance at 8-4.
That would put us anywhere from 19-11 to 21-9 in the SEC. I may be overly optimistic, but I like the way the schedule sets up for us.
If we go 19-11 in the SEC and end up with around 20 overall losses, then we won't be a national seed; we'd be around where South Carolina was last year. Go 21-9 in the SEC and we probably will be.

I think you can throw out those first two. Just don't see it happening with the
inconsistency I've seen from this team thus far. We've got guys that just aren't playing as well as they did last year, much less improved (at least not to this point).
