Not all Wills fault, but you have to have a guy that can make something out of chicken shit every once in a while. Especially at a place like state. We are literally the only school I can think of off hand that doesn't have that at all

Leaches air raid, Lincoln Reileys air raid, Barbays offense, ******* offense, the tripple option....
None of it Fing matters if our entire team is playing below their talent level. It's the HC. I"m sorry, but it is. Maybe he figures it out before the end of year 3 (earliest we can fire him) but there is not an offense in the world that would work with this level of coaching installing it. And conversely, there's not an offense in the world that wouldn't look better than this if it was well coached.
That's what Leach had going for him. He ensured the team was well coached. That's the foundation this team is missing

Bs!! Try winning without the offense scoring points

I'm 2021, back when Will was not so nervous, Prediction Pain has posted and proven that offense analytically beat all of Mullen's offenses except 2014.
But ... whatever. We'll never know how it will have worked out long term now. I do know that on it's worst day it was better than this.

Food for thought... leach's adjustment to the air raid in year 1 was anything but seamless. We had some games where we were straight up pathetic. The adjustment leaving the air raid won't be seamless either, but I do think our recruiting foot print fits this style better. Hopefully arnett and barbay can figure it out

Fact. It's coaching. If you can not install your offense and see what is working and game plan, that's nit the team.
That's coaching

We have to keep them from getting points here, and come out and get a score and see what happens.
Dawgs don't get the ball to start the second half.

We have to make changes to the OL. Even if the other RT's don't know the playbook as well, they are talented. Move RT to guard and Loysa to center for at least the 3rd quarter to see if we can operate. Mike is seeing an entire series or 2 as well for me.

Deserve, um, bullshit. We deserve everything we pay for in todays game. We are slow and not exactly imaginative with anything we do . What you are seeing is us reaping the rewards of exactly what we have payed for and being slow to adapt to the changing landscape that is D1 football. This is really no that hard to figure out.

Not sure I understand your point. Will is terrible today but I see the asterisks.

LOL he played hundreds of snaps in the SEC last year
And you avoided the question. Can you look at Wills 5/17 for 33 yard passing performance and -17 rush yards and honestly say Wright wouldn't have had better numbers?

An air raid concept will attract qbs and wrs. This will not. At all. We betterbhave deep pockets to buy them!

We had all spring and summer to learn the offense. We can't block it, we run wrong routes, bad throws, one receiver on the field that is taking away a WR spot. Defense is playing 15 yards off and trying to cover Nabors with a safety a lot. No pass rush at all. We're are a bad football team.

I look at the Auburn game 2 years ago how we were down 18 points and came back to win with Rogers passing in Leach's offense. Don't see a similar situation in this offense.

Yeah, it attracted a bunch of guys that couldn't beat out this Millsaps backup we have starting.

The group we returned a lot of (front 6) is what's really sucking. That and the schemes/playcalls. Like the front is getting blown back for 8 yard runs up the guy and getting ZERO pressure. DBs are being put in bad spots due to covering for long times, being told to give 10 yard cushions, and having safeties cover Nabors. That's not their fault.
Seriously though, the DL is terribly coached. They have ZERO moves. Not a bull rush, swim move, twist, no hands, etc. They just get beat every play.

The fact that our coaches have watched every snap that Wright has taken and have decided that Will gives us the best chance to win, tells me all I need to know about Wright as a starter.
