Damn. We just need to quit today before we lose every bit of defensive confidence. These last few innings have been garbage

I don't think so either. They are 9-1 in 1 run games. That's just not something you can count on over the course of a season.

Agreed, Cadaver. This is not on pitching at all. This is on Heck, Britton, Pirtle, and Collins. All those guys were the ones that gave them 5 runs today.

I'm happy about winning the series, but this is an awful way to finish this series

Boy that Mizzou game seems light years away when it comes to Myles Gentry, doesn't it?

We competed very well today until 7th inning. Still a good weekend.

Agreed, this was shit by our defense and a weekend that was a huge accomplishment put a damper on it.

Assuming Ole Miss goes on to win today, only 4 of their 21 wins will have come versus teams with a winning record.

Pitchers have competed well today. Our hitting and defense didn't.

Only way I will feel good is if we can get one strike and at least scare the shit out of Vandy with a small rally in the ninth.

I feel like he isn't making any effort on defense either. Just enough to get by. He always pulls his foot off the base right as he's catching the ball, on Hecks throwing error it didn't look like he made much effort to go up and get it, and on Pirtles diving play and throw it looked like he could have stayed on the base pretty easy but came off and tried to tag him instead

Now let's put a rally together and not go down 1-2-3.

I agree. Wes needs to get his shit together. He's still a good player, but with a max effort he would be great. We need him to step up

Goodness, just wish I could have seen what would have happened in this game if Heck had made the simple throw to 1st base in the top of the 8th that would have kept the game at 1-0.
