Tomorrow
Obviously a big big win tonight. If we win tomorrow, does it save the bucket? I think I would personally move on but im not the AD.
-
I still do not think his fate has been decided one way or the other. But a series win in Alex Box would probably save it. We have won a series there just twice in the last 15 years.
-
No. The only way Lemonis should return in 2024 is if we make a Regional.
I've been consistent on this notion all season. Back in February I was adamant that missing the Tournament again = fired, and I maintain that opinion.

Anyone that's says it's been decided up til now is wrong. If he gets fired they will say I told you so it's been down for weeks. That's not the case. He might get canned but it's not done. Bit today it isn't.

Gotta let the season play out.

The sad thing is that tonight we saw what this team could be. We had some shaky moments but pitching held up long enough to let the bats come alive.

Yep, this and a few other games showed us what could've been. But you have to be consistent and we haven't.

100% Commerce. And it is especially frustrating on nights like this because there have been 5-6 games this year where our pitching did not hold up in the same situations it held up in tonight. And unfortunately that is the difference in being on the outside looking in to Hoover and playing for seeding in the NCAA tournament.

If we make the SEC tourney, Lemon Juice is 100% back, he may be anyway.
-
I bet a win tomorrow will probably save the Bucket. They win tomorrow, the momentum could create a series win vs Agdorks.
Keep the players and recruits, probably keeps the job for another year. Especially if the next man up is a North Florida or Arkansas State guy.

We aren't making the tournament.

Probably correct. We are a game behind Missouri. They have one more with UGA and then go to Auburn. My guess is they would have to lose out for us to have a shot.

What about Hoover? It's still in play, right?***

We're 2 games behind Missouri

If you don?t make Hoover then you?ve gotta go. That is just unacceptable

You right. I’m enjoying the vodka a little too much tonight and misread that. Usually I am drinking it to forget the game so celebratory is hitting a little harder. Yea no chance we make it
-
Just forget the regionals and Hoover. The best that can be achieved is not being dead last. UGA could feasibly fall apart and MSU catch them for a Hoover ticket, but MSU no longer controls their destiny.
For Bucket, he needs momentum and to win tomorrow to lock-in another year.

Only way we get to a Regional is to win the whole SEC Tourney. No other way. And the only way to get to Hoover is to finish ahead of Missouri. And that ain't looking too good at the moment. Mizzou could sweep UGA tomorrow. If they do, it's pretty much wait til next year.

I think that has to be taken into consideration because by my unofficial count we've lost 8 games because of our poor pitching management which were games we lost by one run and ULM.
With a decent pitching coach our win total is in the 30's probably.
