Oh so coaches fault. What about the one he let the guy get to third?? Block the ball. Catch the ball.

Well, another fun night at the old Ball park. Scrape back from down 4-0 only to lose. The 7 wins in a row were nice but they were all against nobody's. First game playing a real team again and the tying scores from a leadoff walk and the winning run scores on a passed ball. We just don't do the little things needed to beat good teams.

I can buy that.

We lost mainly because of a really bad first inning. Yes it’s bad to lose of a walk and two pitches, but go look how we started.

Hitting I thought would be his issue. But... he has one strength at this point. Elite speed for a catcher.

Would be different if we werent in our 5th year after a bad year and against a program that didn?t even know they had a game tonight. And if the same mistakes weren?t repeated over and over. AND if we didn?t have talent.

True. And too few clutch hits

We are going to struggle to win a SEC series

On an offense full of experienced players that still haven?t stepped up to lead us. I am proud of Kellum Clark getting his first base hit somewhere besides right field tonight

Yep that's it at this point. He will be good but he's gotta put a lot of work in to be a good catcher.

Who knew not keeping any of the actual catchers on staff from the last 2 years would be a bad thing

Getting kinda' old getting beat by Kentucky all the time; football, basketball and now baseball. We need to get this turned around.

Didn’t he play football in high school? If so he seems to be athletic and should learn from his mistakes tonight. Tough situation for the kid.
Not all his fault although it stands out in the last inning.

We'll win a series or two but I have little doubt we'll finish last in the West once again. We've been relegated to being competitive with UK and Mizzou instead of the big boys of the league. Hard to believe we've let this happen two years post NC.

If we manage another last place finish then Lemonis will be done.

Why bat Highfill if front of Hines. Hines needs to be 4th.

Agreed. Put Hines in at first and let's roll w/Luke. Yeah, they'll steal bases but it's not like Highfill has been gunning them down either. His throws are all over the place and we all know he can't block a beach ball. Let Highfill rotate in DH'ing and catching mid-week.

We had the lead. We left a pitcher in when we already planned to throw our closer. Foxhall is a dumbass and Lemonis allows it to happen. We win if we throw Dohm to start that 8th.
Then, 17ing Foxhall calls hard breaking stuff when your catcher can't handle it with winning run on 3rd with two outs? Pfft, fire his ass tonight.
