Selection Sunday Cheat Sheet
I've divided the bubble teams into 4 tiers:
TIER 1 - Don't get worried if any of these teams make it. They're practically locks anyway, even though CBS might refer to them as "bubble":- Auburn
- Boise State
- Penn State
- USC
- Utah State
TIER 2 - These are all projected by almost everyone on Bracket Matrix to be in:- Arizona State
- Mississippi State
- NC State
- Providence
- Rutgers
TIER 3 - There's only room in the tournament for 1 of these, unless someone from one of the above tiers gets snubbed:- Nevada
- Oklahoma State
- Pittsburgh
TIER 4 - These are extremely unlikely, but not impossible:- Clemson
- Michigan
- North Carolina
- Oregon
- Vanderbilt
- Wisconsin
There should be 11 teams from these tiers getting in, presumably 5 from Tier 1, 5 from Tier 2, and 1 from Tier 3, but we'll see what the committee decides.

In other words, don't panic until there are 2 teams selected from Tiers 3/4. And even if that does happen, there are other teams in Tier 2, and I don't think we're the most likely snub out of that tier.
I'll be following along crossing teams of the list as they're called out.

2 worries are UNC and Michigan. Name recognition(blue blood Bias) might bite us in the ass.

Same, but I was already expecting us to be playing in the First Four (not using the term play-in since the NCAA doesn't and it's inaccurate anyway)

The season was our play-in. This is the First Four, and we're just as legitimate of a tournament team as anyone else.

So we play Wednesday night?

Are NFL teams who make the playoffs but don't get a bye not "really" in the playoffs?
I expect to be playing on Friday regardless, but even if we don't, we are a tournament team. Congrats to Jans for doing what no one expecting.

Pitt avgs 76.1 ppg and shoots 36.0% from 3. Maybe our defense will be back after some rest

Thats different. Wild card games are an actual part of the playoffs. This feels like a we really didnt want to put you in so go prove it slap in the face

we play Pittsburgh Wednesday, and if we win it will be Iowa State in Greensboro. If we win that, it will be either Xavier or Kennesaw State on Sunday.

Like a NIT game to get into the tourney
