Bianco has been doing it for 20+ years, been a national seed 5 or 6 times, has now won a CWS, and yes he is a gigantic asshole. Him and Cohen are very alike.

Correct. Because in college sports it is. You have assts to be nice and be their friend. The HC can't be the one to do that. It's a respect thing. Cohen's assts (Butch, Nick, Lane, Mike Brown) all were extremely nice guys. Cohen was a dick. Polk was not friends with any of the players. He had Mcmahon, Shoop, Raffo, Schoenrock, and McNickle for that. All those guys, outside of Pat, were extremely nice.

We got by despite culture in ?21. The kids were having ?baseball invite only? parties on Sundays in the Cotton District win or lose. That same stuff is going on now, but the difference is there is no leadership. You think guys are going to respect a 3 year starter at SS batting .073 with multiple errors through four games? Or a 6th year player who is just a singles hitter? Or how about the coaches who get plastered with the team at football games sitting in the Scoreboard Club..
